The goals of the Erasmus plus ROadEDucatiOn (RODEO) Erasmus plus project are to strengthen the focus on road safety education in young people and to promote skills, active citizenship and ethics in the fields of road safety and road education.
Specifically, the project aims:
– To the enhancement of civic education and road safety for secondary school students, increasing their awareness of the consequences of dangerous and incorrect behaviour on the road as drivers, motorcyclists, pedestrians or passengers in a motor vehicle.
– To the development of new digital technologies to train and test road safety and civic education, specifically designed for secondary school students and designed with a user-centered approach, inclusive even for people with mobility disabilities.
– To strengthening secondary school education on innovative, high-level technology solutions and common methods and practices for teaching road safety, civic education and supporting critical thinking.

On October 9th, teachers can participate in the launch webinar to receive all the instructions on how to get students to participate and get involved in the final hackathon (webinar registration link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3982176463188818774)
Starting in mid-October, secondary school students will be able to participate in a real Hackathon that will see final winners and prizes for those who develop the most innovative project in the field of road safety.

Students from mid-October until early November will be able to participate in online webinars, taught by experts in the field, which will be used to complete the final challenge.
