The Erasmus plus Mind Maths project, of which Scuola di Robotica is a partner, is addressing one of the educational problems common to most students around the world: fear of math.
The project targets undergraduates of Education and Training Sciences from Turkey, Italy, Latvia and Portugal, and addresses the learning of mathematics already in kindergarten using digital technologies and robotic kits.
The Partners have produced a Knowledge Paper, a State-of-the-Art of Mathematics Teaching in Europe with a survey of the main educational methods for overcoming mathematics learning difficulties. You can find it here attached, in English.
In Italy, Scuola di Robotica has organized an online seminar to present the project.
In order to inspire not only interest but fun for and with mathematics, the project will actively demonstrate – with games, lesson plans and digital technology labs – that mathematics is not an isolated subject that has little to do with the objects that surround us. Learning while having fun is a good way to deal with math anxiety (even for adults!).
