On the occasion of Safer Internet Day 2022, Scuola di Robotica is organising, in collaboration with the project SUN – Smart Use of Networks, promoted and financed by the Regione Liguria (Assessorate for Youth Policy) and by the Italian Department for Youth Policy, and with the School Don Gnocchi of San Colombano al Lambro (Milan), an online conference to present some projects dedicated to the theme of the responsible use of new media.
The conference will present projects that have involved teachers and students from primary and secondary schools. In fact, it is necessary to start tackling the issue of the benefits and risks of the web and social networks already in primary school, so that pupils (and their parents) are well informed and, like the pupils of IC Don Gnocchi who followed the Social Kids project, can help others.
Conference topics
SUN
Scuola di Robotica, in collaboration with some Vocational Training Schools of the Liguria Region, presents the results of the SUN 3 project, school year 2019-2020. SUN 3 is a project dedicated to the responsible use of new media and promoted and financed by Regione Liguria (Assessorate for Youth Policy) and the Italian Department for Youth Policy and dedicated to the Vocational Schools (EFP) of the Liguria Region.
SUN 3 has developed a methodology of intervention in collaboration with several experts (psychologists, lawyers, sociologists, educators), a platform dedicated to collect the lessons of the experts on the responsible and risk-free use of the web, for young people and teachers, and an App.
SOCIAL KIDS
Teachers Sonia Boldrini, Mariangela Spelta and Silvia Piva from the IC Don Gnocchi in San Colombano al Lambro (MI) will present their Social Kids project, carried out over five years, from the first to the fifth year of primary school. Since they were six years old, the young pupils have followed an educational course with their teachers on the responsible use of social networks and the Internet. Today, the students are in the fifth grade and face risks and problems with great attention. Parents also played a leading role in the course, “have made this journey” with their children.
