School of Robotics for the promotion of Books and Reading

The project, Educating to Read, Reading and Storytelling with Coding and Educational Robotics, coordinated by School of Robotics and implemented with funding from the ItalianĀ  Center for Books and Reading, has begun. The project, which is free of charge, is dedicated to Secondary School Teachers and includes a series of Lessons and laboratories that will use innovative tools for digital natives.

The website/platform of the projectĀ  is www.libripermaker.org (in Italian) and contains a description of the project and all the Lessons that have already been held.

The projectĀ  offers to Teachers,Ā  Librarians, and Parents twenty lessons dedicated to how to promote reading and the book in its various expressions of “Reading the World,” from photography to music; from storytelling to narration of science, to how to build a..walking library.

The speakers who will take turns in the Lessons are obviously passionate readers, and they hold different professions: astronauts and scientists, musicians, booksellers, songwriters, all committed to spreading the love of reading.

Several lessons are devoted to the use of digital storytelling software and the use of small robots to promote skills known as media literacy and literacy, or Media Literacy.
