THRISS Award to Michela Bogliolo for the paper ‘Nao: a promising tool for paediatric hospitals

Engineer Michela Bogliolo, Scuola di Robotica, won the first prize for the best paper with the title Nao: a promising tool for paediatric hospitals in the “Trustworthy Human-Robot Interaction Summer School (THRISS)” (https://terais.eu/thriss/), organised within the TERAIS project with the collaboration of Comenius University of Bratislava, University of Hamburg, Italian Institute of Technology.
The Summer School took place in Bratislava in conjunction with the MEiCogSci24 conference.

The Trustworthy Human-Robot Interaction Summer School – THRISS – welcomes participants from different backgrounds to meet and deepen their knowledge in the interdisciplinary fields of cognitive robotics and human-robot interaction over four days. From robotic engineering to computer science, social psychology, cognitive science and neuroscience, the Summer School is designed for PhD and master’s students with experience who wish to meet, discover and learn robotic cognitive models to promote reliable social interactions with humans. The event is organised in the framework of the TERAIS project, in international collaboration with the Comenius University of Bratislava (SK), the University of Hamburg (DE) and the Italian Institute of Technology (IT).

Participants have the opportunity to attend presentations and meetings with keynote speakers, practice their skills in workshops on human-robot interaction and present their research at the MEiCogSci Student Conference, which is linked to the Summer School. THRISS is supported by the Slovak Society for Cognitive Science.
